january 24th

this is the weird asian store that we went to with nate.

no sleeping in today! i have a practice shoot today with my nieces. they've been so much help to me. i finally started around 10:30 am. i started with the youngest first, brook. thinking that she would get bored the quickest... and she did. but she did do such a good job and i think she had fun. she's very ornery and she likes to cross her eyes in pictures, but i was ahead of her and i bribed her with money. next was her sister, courtney and she did better than i thought to. she is naturally tan...wouldn't that be nice? anyways... she has a gap in her front teeth and i love it when people have a gap there. it gives them such personality! i finished up with her and next was natasha. i practice with her a lot so i didn't take to many today, but as always... she's beautiful too. last was katrena. usually she's very hard to photograph, i don't know why though. she's a very happy and pretty girl and she has such a loving personality. but when i took her pictures last time, i wasn't so good. she's getting better about it and took some really good pictures today!

my nephew ethan, had a wrestling tournament today and he placed and got a trophy and i took some pictures of him with his singlet on and with his trophy. he was so proud!

around 1:30 pm we went to des moines with nate and his girlfriend becky. gosh, out conversations are so off the wall...everything from poo to transmission fluid. weird... i know. let's see we went to a super boring tool shop and becky and i couldn't stand the smell and we went to big lots to browse, we didn't find anything. then we went to the merle hay mall/sears. after that we had to pick a part up at o'reilys (imagine that) then, we went to a really weird asian market. it smelled like old fish. next was a trip to americans, the furniture place. then we were hungry by 7:30 and decided to go to hu hot. we got there and the wait was 45 minutes with no standing room or sitting room available, so that basically means standing outside or wasting gas and sitting in the truck. we chose to check-out the wait at outback, that wait was 75-85 minutes. last but not least, we tried cheddars, and we only had to wait 5 minutes there. score! we we're starving by the time we got our food. i ordered the alaskan salmon with rice and green beans. it rocked.

when we left nate and matt got this idea that they wanted a pair of heely shoes. you know, those shoes that kids glide around on. i think matt has enough luck breaking bones without the help of shoes made for skaters. i was relieved when they found out famous footwear was closed! and then they wanted to go to best buy and check-out some plasma tv's.

we left and i was panicky on the way home because it was getting yucky. i talked myself out of panic attacks pretty much the whole was home. and when we got home i found out we were in a winter weather advisory...so i had a reason to be panicky after all.

i was wore out and went to bed.

more tomorrow...

  1. i'm so glad that they didn't get those shoes! i make fun of kids that wear those. some day i hope to trip one with my foot or throw a stick in front of them (like how the kid does it on Big Daddy with the guy that's skating). ha!
